Nimrit holds the designation of a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the BC College of Social Workers. She completed her undergraduate degree and Masters degree in Social Work from the University of British Columbia. She holds an additional undergraduate degree in Sociology with social psychology skills.

Nimrit has a passion for supporting individuals and families and has extensive training in the field of Mental Health and Family Therapy, which are her areas of expertise. She incorporates Bowens Family Systems Theory and Gottman Method in her practice when working with families alongside other modalities. Nimrit has worked in various settings including general medicine units, child protection services, children with special needs and developmental disabilities and community settlement, inclusion and integration. In addition to her practice, she works in Inpatient Psychiatry Unit with the Fraser Health Authority.

Using a variety of evidence based treatment modalities and therapeutic frameworks; her approach is holistic and individualized to your needs. Using a client centered, culturally competent and trauma informed lens, she offers a safe, inviting and confidential space for individuals seeking support.

Counselling is a wonderful and collaborative process that is unique to each client. Each session is focused on evaluation and treatment to alleviate any mental health symptoms, distress and dysfunction caused in your day-to-day living.
