Everyone experiences situations in their lives when things do not work out as planned or desired. You may be having a difficult time in moving forward without the time, tools and support to do so in a positive way. Our emotional health is equally, if not more, important than our physical and mental health. When we are faced with trauma, our emotional health takes a toll and affects our ability to manage and demonstrate the emotions that arise from what we have experienced.
Our goal is to offer you a safe, open and an inviting space, which will guide you to look into your thoughts, feelings and difficulties and help build resilience and control over your life. We offer both short term and long-term psychotherapy interventions focused on your needs and goals.
Individual counselling includes, but is not limited to:
– Low self-esteem, sadness and self-confidence
– Depression and anxiety
– Traumatic event and PTSD
– Stress management
– Grief, bereavement and loss
– Family and Relationship issues/challenges
Session fees
50 minute – $170 | 80 minute – $240
As Virginia Satir mentioned, “families are systems wherein everyone and everything impacts and is impacted by everyone and everything else”. We look at the family unit as a whole instead of just as a sum of its parts. Family therapy focuses on the problems lying underneath the behaviours of each family member and how this impacts other members of the family. When family members address and work on issues, which have been buried for years, they are able to achieve a sense of peace, balance and comfort. We believe that every individual has the potential for change and growth by focusing on accepting and overcoming past events.
Every family faces stressful times. Sometimes families need support to navigate difficulties such as an illness or death in the family, financial challenges, divorce or inefficient communication. Poor communication is often viewed as the biggest perpetuator of unhealthy relationships. We integrate Bowens Family Systems Model and the Satir Model into family therapy to nourish existing communication patterns, build validation skills and to create healthy boundaries within the family.
Family therapy may be beneficial for:
– Family conflicts
– Communication difficulties
– Separation and divorce
– Parenting and step-parenting
– Blended families
– Behaviour challenges
– Parent-child relationship
– Extended family relationships
Session fees
50 minute – $200 | 80 minute – $275
Often times, people seek counselling to work on repairing, building, strengthening and maintaining their relationships. There exist numerous elements that can “disrupt” the balance in a relationship such as unhealthy communication and behaviour patterns, feelings of loneliness, guilt, disconnection, worries, emotional baggage and a variety of other factors.
We offer a collaborative, exploratory and compassionate counselling which focuses on increasing connection, improving communication patterns and styles and minimizing reoccurring conflict. Our aim is to help facilitate a journey that will help you move forward with more clarity, confidence and understanding of your relationships.
Session fees
50 minute – $190 | 80 minute – $250
